Rapid KL On-Demand launches 18 new service zones and a new booking app in June 2025, expanding first-last mile access across Klang Valley.

Rapid KL On-Demand Now Operates in 60 Zones with 162 Vans

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, the operator of the Rapid KL On-Demand service, has expanded its first-and-last-mile public transport coverage across the Klang Valley with the introduction of 18 new service zones throughout June 2025. The expansion is further supported by the launching of the new Rapid On-Demand mobile application to improve user convenience.

The expansion took place in two phases: June 9 and June 16. The first expansion saw the activation of 13 new zones that connect residential areas and MRT stations. The second phase introduced five additional zones along the MRT Kajang and Putrajaya Lines, focusing on “high-density residential areas and rapidly urbanizing regions”, according to MyRapid official website.

The new routes connect MRT Semantan to KTM Segambut, Bukit Dukung to Sungai Sekamat, Sungai Buloh to Bandar Rahman Putra, Serdang Raya Selatan to Taman Bukit Serdang, Metro Prima to Taman Botani Kepong and Taman Bukit Maluri, Kentonmen to MITEC, Sg. Jernih to Taman Puncak Saujana, Serdang Raya Utara to Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Taman Equine to Lestari Perdana, and Sri Delima to Sri Segambut. Additional connections now serve areas such as Kota Kemuning to Gamuda Walk Mall and Alam Megah to Alam Megah via the Kummute app.

Meanwhile, the second phase added new services between Kwasa Sentral and Subang Bestari or the Subang Skypark Terminal, Semantan and Menara DBKL, Metro Prima and Taman Beringin, Putrajaya Sentral and Precinct 1, and Cyberjaya City Centre and Cyberjaya.

“With the introduction of these five zones, Rapid KL On-Demand now provides feeder service to the Kajang and Putrajaya MRT Lines via 16 zones and 46 vans. Across the Klang Valley overall, Rapid KL On-Demand operates in 60 zones with 162 vans,” said Amir Hamdan, Group Chief Operating Officer (Operations), Prasarana.

To book the services, users can download the Rapid On-Demand app from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. With this app, passengers can book seats, check service availability, and plan daily routes with greater ease. “With this innovation focused on sustainability, responsiveness, and user-friendliness, we aim to make public transport the preferred choice for residents in the Klang Valley,” Amir Hamdan added.

Rapid KL On-Demand services are available every day from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM. To boost ridership, especially for the first-mile and last-mile connections, users only need to pay RM1.00 promotional fare for now. Payment can be made via Touch ‘n Go card, debit or credit cards, the MyRapid Concession Card, the OKU Smile Travel Pass, or through unlimited travel passes such as My50, MyCity, and the Family Pass.
