Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBM CV) Grand Draw’s ultimate prize – a Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 and a trip to Japan – was won by SDS Bakeries Sdn Bhd at the recent 2017/2018 Fuso Diamond Contest Grand Draw.

This year marked the 5th year of the Fuso Diamond Contest organised by MBM CV, the authorised distributor of Fuso trucks in Malaysia. The contest comprised two draws; a Mini Draw held in August 2017 and the Grand Draw being the culminating event.
Held at an exciting gala dinner at One World Hotel, the lucky draw was drawn from entries comprising Fuso customers nationwide. Brothers Tan Kim Chai and Tan Kim Seng from SDS Bakeries were overjoyed at winning the 2017/2018 Fuso Diamond Contest Grand Prize.
SDS Bakeries is one of MBM CV’s long-standing customers, having purchased its first Fuso truck seven years ago. “Quality trucks with low downtime and good after-sales service was the reason for our continued support for Fuso trucks. We bought our first Fuso truck in 2011 as we wanted to expand our business. Currently, we have more than 150 Fuso trucks and intend to expand our fleet in the near future,” said Kim Seng who is SDS Bakeries Manager.
Twenty-six other winners also took home attractive prizes. Global Inter-Dream (M) Sdn Bhd, Heng Seng & Company Sdn Bhd, TJM Marketing Sdn Bhd and ABX Express (M) Sdn Bhd each won a trip to Japan as well and service vouchers worth RM5,000, RM4,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000 by taking first, second, third and fourth places respectively. Ten lucky Fuso customers received consolation prizes of service vouchers worth RM2,000 each while 12 others each received service vouchers worth RM1,000.
The night also saw 20 lucky winners taking home a Mercedes-Benz watch each, with the 21st winner, Tan Se Hooi, winning the night’s mystery draw, a trip to Japan.
As the authorised dealer for Fuso trucks, MBM CV caters to the medium-range commercial vehicle market segment with light, medium and heavy-duty Fuso trucks. The Fuso light duty trucks (FE71PB, FE83PE, FE83PG, FE85PG, FG83PE [4X4]) are commonly used for short distance distribution, inter-state logistic transportation and tipper operations, while the medium duty trucks (FM65FJ, FM65FN) are used as compactor trucks, roll-on-roll-off trucks, tankers and for long distance logistics. Fuso heavy-duty trucks (FN62FM) are commonly used in quarry sites and as tipper trucks.

The Fuso Diamond Contest 2017/2018 was opened to owners who registered their Fuso commercial vehicles between 1st January, 2017 and 31st December, 2017. Since its inception in 2006, MBM CV has received more than 10,000 entries for the Fuso Diamond Contest.
