“Powered by the ISG heavy-duty engine, the Auman GTL Super- power 460+ boasts low speed high torque and lower fuel con- sumption with its 2,000-bar high-pressure fuel injection system. Combined with the patented Load- Based Speed Control (LBSC), which controls the allowable speed range of the engine based on vehicle operating conditions and serves as ‘virtual driver trainer’, it helps to maximise engine efficiency resulting in a complete vehi- cle’s fuel consumption reduction of 2-3 litres per 100 km. Its unique iBrake braking technology ensures safety and is 50 per cent more efficient than exhaust braking. In addition, the brake pads can last 3-4 times longer. The oil change interval can also be prolonged to every 100,000km with our patented filtration. The streamlined and efficient engine structure simplifies maintenance and reduces parts and repair time by more than 50 per cent. All these have helped to increase operating efficiency by 10- 25 per cent and re- duced operating cost to about 10-30 per cent.”
“Compared to the majority of engines in the market, the ISG en- gine is 200-400kg lighter and has lower noise,” he added.
Since the launch of the Auman GTL Superpower series that was powered by Cummins ISG engine in April 2014, its total sales had reached 40,000 units. “We have already launched it in China, Unit- ed States and Chile and expect to introduce the 6x4 430hp model this March in Malaysia.”
As for the Auman GTL that was equipped with the Mercedes-Benz OM457 heavy-duty engine, he said the engine met Euro IV and V emis- sion standards while having low speed high torque characteristics.
