The company was also explor- ing with Bucher Schoerling on the possibility of introducing vehicles that operated on com- pressed natural gas (CNG) for a greener environment.
Duromac was the only company in Malaysia certified by the Ma- laysian State Technical Airwor- thiness Authority for the mainte- nance to complete overhaul of
the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) special- ised high-speed runway sweepers since 2012.
For the RMAF high-speed runway sweeping, Duromac marketed the specialised vehicle manufactured by BEAM A/S of Denmark. This specialised cleaning vehicle was capable of cleaning airfield runways at speeds of up to 40km/h while picking up all FOD (Foreign Ob- ject Damage) in one pass.
Having scored several ‘firsts’ in the industry, Du- roclean (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Duromac, was contracted by Sepang International Circuit since 1999 to clean and sweep the racing track during all major events, including the Formula 1 race. It also offered cleaning services, rental and leasing of machines to institutions or companies that did not wish to invest in road sweepers.
Other cleaning machines and equipment that Duromac represented as a partner were from Hako-Werke GmbH, Germany; Powerboss Inc, USA; and Etesia, France.
