Iveco Stralis Hi-Way : Truck of the Year 2013
The new Iveco Stralis Hi-Way was named the 2013 Interna- tional Truck of the Year at the IAA by a group of 25 commercial vehicle journal- ists representing 25 maga- zines throughout Europe. According to the Jury, the Stralis Hi-Way has made a significant contribution to road transport efficiency from several different perspectives including fuel economy, safe- ty, driveability, comfort and a low environmental footprint.

vehicle is a true showcase of our revamped com- pany strategy of being close to our customers, delivering excellent products”, said Alfredo Al- tavilla, Iveco CEO, when receiving the award at the gala evening of the 64th edition of the Han- nover IAA show.
The significant reduction in Total Cost of Owner- ship and the proprietary catalytic reduction sys- tem HI-eSCR developed by FPT Industrial are the two main features of the award winning truck.
Equipped with Cursor FPT Industrial engines, which the company claims ensures the low fuel consumption and excellent performance of the new Stralis, the unique High Efficiency SCR (HI- eSCR) catalytic reduction system, designed, patented and produced by FPT Industrial, makes it the only heavy vehicle on the market to meet Euro VI emission limits without the use of ex- haust gas reduction (EGR). The FPT Industrial High Efficiency SCR system reduces nitrogen oxide levels by over 95%. The after-treatment technology of FPT Industrial for Euro VI vehicles is unique and exclusive, since it meets the strict limits for nitrogen oxide emissions, without in- creasing fuel consumption. In addition, it has a thoroughly redesigned, improved ergonomics and comfort cabin.
The new Stralis is produced in the Iveco plant in Madrid, Spain.
