In conjunction with the North Malaysia Truck Show 2011, Scania Malaysia has launched its new Ipoh service centre, located adjacent to the exhibition site at the Kawasan Perusahaan IGB in Chemor, Perak.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Yik Phooi Hong, just after the official opening of the truck show.
“The facility here in Ipoh, which I believe is one of the most comprehensive and modern service centres for heavy vehicles, is proof of the importance of the mar- ket in this region for Scania. This new service centre in Ipoh is part of Scania Malaysia’s strategy to sup- port our customers throughout Malaysia and is part of our comprehensive network of fully–owned service centres. Even during this period of financial difficul- ties, Scania Malaysia is embarking on an expansion program by upgrading existing workshops and build- ing new ones,” said General Manager Scania Malaysia Idros Bin Puteh during the opening ceremony.
A new building, Idros continued, is just a starting point for Scania in their quest to provide quality after-sales services. The company is constantly working to im- prove the level of competence of the technicians and mechanics. This has been an on-going process for the past few years, and is centered around continuous training and on building competencies with the techni- cal staff.

设立新服务中心
在2011年北马卡车展览会期间,斯堪尼亚马来西亚为其怡 保的新服务中心主办开幕仪式。此新的服务中心位于霹 雳Chemor 的IGB工业区里,与展会的地点毗邻。
为北马卡车展主持开幕典礼后,拿督易沛鸿也为斯堪尼亚新的服务 中心主持开幕。
“我相信斯堪尼亚在怡保的新服务中心,是其中一家设备最完善的 现代化重型卡车服务中心,这显示了这个市场对我们的重要性。这 家怡保的新服务中心,是斯堪尼亚马来西亚支援客户策略的一部 份,也是我们全资服务中心网络的一部分。即使正处于财务困难的 阶段,斯堪尼亚马来西亚仍在进行扩展计划,提升现有的修车厂 和兴建新的服务中心。”斯堪尼亚马来西亚总经理伊瑞斯(Idros Bin Puteh) 在开幕典礼上表示。
一间新的建筑物,他接着说,对斯堪尼亚来说只是个为客户提供优 质售后服务的起点。公司正在不断努力地改善技术人员和机械人员 的技能。这是该公司过去这些年来不断在进行的,持续地培训和建 立技术人员的技能。
