Webmax was founded in 2001 as a DOS-based workplace solu- tions provider in Malaysia as DOS was the most common at that time. Today, the company is an established IT service and solu- tions provider with operations in Singapore, Indonesia and the UAE. It has developed strong partnerships with leading technol- ogy vendors - Microsoft, Captaris, Deltek and Global Odyssey – to help its clients transform the way they do business and streamline their processes.
“We have helped automotive workshops of all sizes and com- plexities across the country to streamline processes, improve performance and reduce cost with our innovative workplace so- lutions for years. In fact, we are one of the pioneers in tackling the inefficiencies of the automotive workshops through the use of DOS-based workplace solutions. Moving with the industry trend from DOS to a web-based system, and with more and more ap- plications moving to the web, we have developed a web-based workplace solution called eMax Online system,” said Yap Seong Kok, Business Director of Webmax Technologies Sdn Bhd.
eMax Online, Yap continued, was a quick and user-friendly, web-based ordering, invoicing, stock control and accounting software that Webmax Technologies developed for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Now it is even enhanced to cater to HQ controlling or monitoring the outlets. Organising finances in compliance with accounting standards had become hassle free. It allowed faster, more accurate billing and payment track- ing at the click of a button. In addition, all data was backed up automatically and kept safe and secure on servers, which used the same encryption technology. The system had been widely used in many industries, including automotive workshops, re- treading ,trading, wholesale, and transportation.
