Truck & Bus News sat down with Ernest Wong, the new General Manager of Pickles Asia Sdn Bhd, as the auction house gears up to unlock the market potential.
Pickles Unveils Digital Strategy
Wong previously served as Head of Finance with the Sime Darby Group for a few of its subsidiaries. He was part of the management team that set up BMW Financial Services in Malaysia and Indonesia and spearheaded the Sales and Marketing division in both countries. He then moved on to assist in setting up Leaseplan, the world’s largest leasing company in Malaysia. From there, he joined Pickles to help establish the company to what it is today.
Pickles Asia Sdn Bhd, he said, was a wholly owned subsidiary of Pickles Auctions Pte Ltd, Australia. Founded in 1964, Pickles Australia is the largest remarketing and auction house in Australia, selling more than 230,000 vehicles last year.
